Sunburn Festival announces a mammoth Phase 1 Lineup!

We have been waiting for this announcement for a long long time. With the recent update from the Sunburn camp that they are shifting their base to the hills of Kesnand in Pune. The move from Goa was a very difficult one, both emotionally and strategically. The organizers had to find the perfect spot that would echo the vibes of Asia’s Largest Music Festival. And they finally did, on the outskirts of Pune. We visited the venue last week and it looks majestic to say the least.

With that been said, we have been waiting for the massive lineup announcement that came in earlier today. This year marking the 10th Year Anniversary Celebration of Sunburn Festival, we had expected them to go all out with the lineup and they did not disappoint. Here’s what they have to offer in the phase 1 lineup.

Trance Fans can rejoice once again as Armin Van Buuren makes his way to India again and also rumored to join him this time are the Trance heavyweights Solarstone, Jon O Callaghan and Bryan Kearny. This comes as a very happy news to Trance fans in the country as these artists are the best at what they do, hypnotize the crowd with their ethereal melodies.

The festival will also see 2/3 of Swedish House Mafia and one of the world’s most sought after act, Axwell ^ Ingrosso, come back to India after almost 2 years. The duo have recently launched a brand new visual concept for their shows which features visuals shot completely on Film Cameras and no VFX. We can’t wait to immerse in the Departures experience once again.

And on the line up we once again encounter the Belgian brothers, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike who in less than a span of 4 months will once again head back to India & headline the 10th Edition of Sunburn Festival.

Joining the Belgian duo, will be the Dutch master spiner, Afrojack. And not to forget the Indian prodigy,KSHMR as well. Maybe Dada will come on stage again?

The lineup will also feature deep house artists like Yotto and Eli & Fur who are surely going to leave the fans spellbound with their deep sets.

We also are excited to see Eats Everything on the lineup and we have been waiting a while for him to grace India.

District 808 a homegrown concept by deepsound and RVR16 would also be hosting a separate stage at the festival which will feature more Bass / Trap Oriented artists & also this year Sunburn will feature a Monstercat Stage which we feel is an amazing addition to the lineup.

With major festivals going the techno way, we are happy to see a well maintained balance between all genres of music.
