Escape festival of Arts & Music
A sanctum for bands, artists, writers, photographers, painters, graffiti artists, performance artists, tattoo artists and potters, located in that part of India which gives immense aesthetic pleasure, “The Escape Festival of Arts & Music”, held at Naukuchiatal Lake in Uttarakhand, famously proclaimed as the land of gods, has been getting it’s position into limelight since the past few years.
A festival which allows you to explore the creative side of your life, the expression of art in various forms amidst the beautiful natural surroundings & a breathtaking venue, the Great Escape brings the blend in very well.
Organized by Potheads, a music and arts event company, this event known to be started by artists for artists in 2009 has now become very popular amongst the creative community.

With musician rolling in from dusk to dawn, set up under a banyan tree, in an open amphitheater, beautifully crafted near a lake, this is one festival which a fan of an Organic music festivals dreams of! A beer bottle, some good music, under a banyan tree, by the lake, what more can a music purist ask for?
A spectacular remark of this fest is that it’s artists perform from 7 pm to 7 am, getting you grove all night, all the way from dawn till dusk, with the proceeds going towards the education of Adivasi children of Kabini, outside Mysore!
Set in the outskirts of Bangalore, this fest is also an excuse for you to diverge into the spectacular getaways in the vicinity as well as coddle in the offbeat adventurous activities available around the venue.
Gulmarg Winter festival
Snow, great food, a fusion of musical potpourri showcases Classical, Folk, Sufi, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Indie, Phew! Guess kashmir is not just about its picturesque landscapes and the snow clad kashmir Himalayan peaks!
Started in 2003, this showdown is scheduled in the March of every year, one can also gorge on local delicacies at the fest and shake a leg with the traditional dancers!
With the world’s highest gondola ride, ski lifts and excellent slopes, Gulmarg is one of the hottest international ski destinations today!
This one will surely get you off the summer heat in one of the metropolitan cities.
The festival provides an experience of camping in the deserts of Jaisalmer, combined with multiple genres of music played on four stages, film, art, photography and various outdoor activities such as paintball, sand-surfing and zorbing. Music on the four main stages runs concurrently: the Morio stage features artists and acts from the pop, rock and alternative rock genre; the Ammara stage features electronic and dub step music; the Olun stage features world music, fusion, folk and classical musicians; and the Open Mic stage features singer-songwriter bands and artists!
