Travelling to Ultra Miami
Ultra Music Festival is gearing up for their big 20th anniversary edition this year and from what we've been hearing they have a lot of big surprises in store for us this year! Although traveling to the US is something us Indians just dream of doing someday, turns out if we watch our wallet and make the right choices we could easily travel to the US especially for Ultra. Yes we know, its not going to be something near 25-50k but its going to be a lot more but being honest with you with a little bit of saving your dream trip to one of the biggest dance music festivals in the world could just happen and we hope with the points mentioned below it does happen for some of you guys.
1. Find a rave buddy to go along with you.
Trust us if you're going along with somebody from your own city preferably it would be a lot better for you as you wont have to bear all the expenses all by yourself but will have someone to help lighten the load on your wallet as you can apply the old splitting rule to everything that you have to spend on especially on travel and stay.
2. Festival Tickets.
Tickets for Ultra go on sale a few months before the festival itself with a registration only discounted batch of tickets going on sale first followed by the general ones later that cost a few dollars more. The first batch of discounted tickets have already gone on sale and have been sold out so you can now only get your hands on the normal tickets that start at $379.95 for the 3 day GA pass while the VIP tickets are for $1499.95. Ultra also offers tickets on a payment program which works just like purchasing the tickets on EMI however these have already been sold out as well.
3. Flight Tickets.
These are by far the most expensive things as flights to the US dont really come cheap. If you consider buying your tickets in the next few days you can get them for around 60k as seen on Skyscanner. But keep in mind that the prices of the tickets do go higher each day as you come nearer to the dates of the festival.
Like we said if youre travelling along with a friend this isnt going to be that expensive for you as you can split the bill as a decnt hotel would cost you around 10-13k per day but incase you're travelling alone we would advise you to find a place that offers something like a dormitory as those tend to be a lot cheaper than booking a hotel room for yourself.
5. Travelling around Miami.
For this public transport would'nt just be the cheapest altrenative for you but would also be the best. And as for travelling to and from the festival, the city of Miamai usually has special services from bayfront park so you wont have to worry about getting from the venue to yoour hotel after a long day of raving.
6. Extra expenses.
This is something that is all up to how much you would want to save up for your spending on food and other extra expenses that may come your way.
In the end, considering around 65k for your flights, around 45k for your hotel stay, another 25k for your festival tickets and around 50k for other expenses including your transportation, food and extra expenses that may come your way, we'd say that around 2,00,000 would be enough for your dream trip to Ultra Music Festival. Yes it is a lot for most of us but the memories would certainly more than make up for all the bruises that you'll be making your wallet go through.
