Interview with Harrison

Date: Feb 01 to Feb 02

Length: 01:00 am - 01:00 am

UK based: Harrison’s strengths lie in his uniqueness. As both a vocalist and DJ his stage performances combine these skills to consistently explosive effect and alongside producing records in his own right his vocal collaboration with David Guetta ‘Ain’t A Party’ has already established him as a vocal force to be reckoned with.

We had a chance to interview him, read on:

Question: What really made you choose music as your career?

Since I was in school really, I have always loved music and singing at home non-stop, it really was my passion as a kid and as I grew older, it was still a part of me. I was pursuing a rugby career before, but after a critical injury that has now left me with metal in my ankle, I was to go down a different route.

Question: Producers you admire?

Hardwell, Dannic, Laidback Luke and many more…

Question: What are your Top 3 tunes that are hot on the dancefloor right now?

House Every Weekend by David Zowie, The Wave by Vinai & myself! And Buddha by Holl & Rush vs. Tom & Jame on Revealed is also huge.

Question: You’ve performed at both festivals and club shows, but which one do you prefer?

I love festivals, since they are massive and are more challenging to perform at.

Question: Playing at which festival/club has been the most amazing experience ever?

There are so many it’s hard to say, since I’ve been lucky enough to have great gigs so far throughout my career, I would say some of my most memorable are my performances with Hardwell at his opening shows in the Ziggo dome. As for ‘solo Harrison’ it has to be my opportunities on my first ever international tour in China, performing in both Shanghai and Beijing, cannot wait to go back!

Question:  If your music were an animal, what would you be?

A white saber-toothed tiger

Question: What is next for Harrison this Summer and how do you see your future?

A few gigs all over Spain (mostly on the islands, Mallorca and Ibiza) followed by the H20 festival in South Africa near the end of the year! I see my future as a solo Harrison artist in my own right, I sing, I DJ, song-write and produce and I want to show all my fans what I love to do 😀

Question : Who are the top 3 artists you’d like to work with?

Eminem, Tiësto and Avicii

Question: What’s your take on the differences between commercial music and underground music? Do you think there is space for both to co-exist in the industry?

Commercial music will reach a larger audience, whereas underground is what is ‘trending’ right now but I think that since it’s a trend, the genre and styles will come and go, but what’s interesting with underground music is that it normally becomes commercial, which is why sticking with commercial music as of right now is the right move for ‘solo Harrison’.

Question: What do you think about the EDM Scene in India? Do you have any messages for your Indian fans?

It’s hard to say since I’ve never been, but in the near future I will be there! Get ready because Harrison will be coming SOON!

Thanks Harrison, hope to catch you live soon!

Thank you for your time ! 😀
