A music devotee from the time he was a teenager, Ankit Kocher is a self-taught Producer/DJ from India, popularly known as Ankytrixx in the electronic dance music circuit. He had his early influences, reflect music tastes from listening to renowned performers such as John Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, Nick Warren and more.
Ankytrixx’s first steps as a DJ saw him rise in the club scene with gigs and residencies at some of the hottest venues of Kolkata, Nepal and then his subsequent move to Mumbai propelled him to the big league with regular shows across India, even warming up for legends such as John Digweed, Dubfire, Guy J, Henry Saiz and hosted and lent support to Hernan Cattaneo in 2017,all of it has stamped his musical authority over audiences looking for cutting edge dance music experience with over a 100 shows annually. His DJ sets have amassed a number of quantifiers over the years, though none have ever quite managed to define it. Keeping the crowd engaged in abstract exploration of electronic music, based upon the timbres of space and “non-representational” forms of sonic material.
A proud recipient, he is fresh off winning the National Award for DJ OF THE YEAR 2017 at the recently concluded INCA (India Nightlife and Convention Awards) 2017 in Mumbai.

In recent news, Ankytrixx has emerged as a true international star of the performing arts, by joining a world class DJ lineup that includes artists such as Sven Vath, Stephan Bodzin at the Ark Cruise in Europe, one of the planet’s most epic electronic events at sea which was held earlier this year.
He is currently on his first ever show at Slippers 99, in Tel Aviv Israel as headliner at the Lost & Found ADE Pre-party along-side Israel’s finest Chicola and Khen. Right after which one can find him making his way to top branded events at Amsterdam Zomerkantine at De Markkantine // Techno Tribe and Sugarfactory.
