Robin started his career like most DJ’s by playing at small clubs and parties in and around rural Lower Saxony but scored his big break when he released his remix of “Waves” by Mr Probz in the month of February in 2014 which didn’t just climb to the top of the charts in various countries but also earned him a nomination for “Best Remixed Recording, Non Classical” at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards later an alternate version of his remix was released featuring vocals by T.I and Chris Brown but he didn’t stop there, A couple of months later he released a followup remix to Waves this time of the track “Prayer in C” by Lilly Wood which once again charted in many European countries as well as the United States and ended up being a gold & platinum certified single which made him the first German artist to reach the #1 spot of the global Shazam charts eventually earning the title of the Summer hit of 2014 launching his career to new heights and making him an internationally acclaimed mega star.
But Robin wasn’t done yet for the year, In the autumn of 2014 he went on to release his debut album titled “Prayer” which is now a gold certified album along with his collaboration with Jasmine Thompson titled ” Sun Goes Down”. Since the release he has sold millions of records of Prayer in C, Sun Goes Down and the first single of his album “Sugar”. His chart topping productions have not just earned him 9 digit streams of his tracks on music platforms such as Spotify but have also earned him a huge fan following and slots at some of the biggest clubs and music festivals all over the world from London’s iTunes Festival to Belgium’s Tomorrowland and the legendary Ultra Music Festival in Miami to name a few.
In late September of 2015 Robin released his second studio album which includes his hit singles “Headlights”, “Sugar”, “Show Me Love” and “Heatwave” along with 11 other tracks put together with all the inspirations from all the places that he toured and the experiences that he had all bundled to form one stunning album which is a perfect blend of electronic and pop music perfectly formed into one chart topping stunning album. “I created these songs all over the world,” Schulz explains his intercontinental production on “SUGAR”. “I try to recreate most of my ideas on my laptop. First I make a beat, then a framework and then we try to find the fitting songs and vocalists, before heading to a larger studio to produce. I could have named by new album ‘Lufthansa’. That’s how much time I’ve been spending on planes lately. Sometimes I even fell asleep, while working, only to wake up a few hours later with the beat still playing on my laptop…”
