With just a few days left to go for Asia’s largest dance music festival, Sunburn Festival’s highly awaited 10th year anniversary and we are counting down the days with excitement here at the CME HQ and its not just the new location of the new “Sunburn Hills” that has got us excited but also because of the stellar lineup featuring headliners such as Axwell /\ Ingrosso, Armin Van Buuren, Afrojack & Krewella to name a few that we cannot wait to see live! So before heading out to what is anticipated to be one of the biggest festivals that Sunburn has ever thrown down we thought of giving you a heads-up on some of the artists that you will be seeing at the festival so without further ado here’s all about the Italian progressive house duo Marnik.
Alessandro Martello & Emanuele Longo better known by their stage name as Marnik have been a prominent name in the dance music industry for quite sometime now and over the years have slowly gone on to gain the support of some of the biggest names in the dance music industry with a unique sound that features tantalising melodies that have been influenced by trance and progressive house perfectly mixed together to create stunning anthems that are known for keeping the crowd going on their feet.
The duo first made big news when they joined forces with Dim Mak’s boss “Steve Aoki” on their hit single “Supernova” which they released on Ultra music featuring vocals by Lil John after which the duo headed out on a tour of Europe with the man himself playing at some of the most prestigious and world renowned venues along the way.
Since then they duo have also gone on to collab with Kshmr on the track “Bazaar” which was also the anthem for Sunburn Festival last year which they released on the mighty Spinnin Records which eventually ended up climbing to the top of the charts and have now joined forces once again with Kshmr on the track ‘Mandala’ which is the anthem for this year’s Sunburn Festival and is scheduled to be released on the 26th of December which is just a couple of days before the festival is scheduled to kick start.
However Bazaar wasn’t the first track which the duo saw climb to the top 10 charts, their previous tracks such as their collaborat
Since starting out, Marnik have gone on to play at some of the biggest clubs in the world such as Pacha Ibiza, Ushuaia Ibiza, Queen Paris, and BCM Planet Dance in Mallorca, Spain but that’s not all the duo have also played at world renowned festivals such as Tomorrowland in Belgium and have even gone on to be the faces of Seat Italy’s promotional campaign on MTV and have even gone on to appear on the X Factor Italy which was a huge boost when it came to exposure for their music to a much larger audience which is certainly not something that a lot of DJ’s have been able to accomplish.
The duo have a long way still to go and we’ve got our finger’s crossed that we’ll be hearing them drop a brand new track or two for us when we see them play at Sunburn in just a few days time and if you haven’t already, you can get your hands on tickets for Sunburn Festivals 10th year anniversary HERE.
